Apples

Uncle Denis invited us out to pick apples again this year. Ethan had been invited to attend a Family Life merit badge class being put on by cousin’s ward or stake, so we dropped him off for that first. Then we went to Daylight donuts to get donuts, but they were pretty picked over so Kyle decided to go to Macey’s for some donuts as well. We also got water bottles and veggies and cheese sticks to have as snacks while we were picking apples. Picking apples tends to be an all day event and we wanted to be prepared for when the kids get hungry later.

When we were done shopping, we went to cousin’s house to pick Ethan up and then we headed to Mt Pleasant. It was a rainy day, and so we picked apples in the rain. We saw some deer too, Uncle Denis is always telling us about how deer will come through his orchard to eat the fruit that has fallen off the trees and so none of it ever really goes to waste.

The kids ‘helped’ for a bit and played in Uncle Denis’ backyard until the rain picked up, then they sat in the van to watch a movie, while Kyle and I finished picking apples.

We got Five Guys, and McDonald’s for dinner in Spanish Fork and made a quick stop at Costco for things like eggs and milk on our way home.

Convertible Rides

Grandpa rented a car for the time that they would spending in town with us. When he went to pick up the rental, that he had reserved and prepaid for, he was told that they didn’t have one to rent him. After pointing out that he had prepaid for this rental they looked into it and decided that they could give him a convertible at no extra charge. So he got to rent a convertible. The kids thought it was so awesome and Grandpa decided to take the kids for rides in the convertible to go get ice cream.WP_20151010_001WP_20151010_002
