Jello Eggs and Jello Beans

IMG_3224

  • 1-8 servings box of any flavor of Jello or 2-4 servings boxes
  • 1 1/2 c boiling Water

You will also need a Jello egg and Jello bean mold.

Grease the molds by either spraying with nonstick spray or wiping with an oiled paper towel.

Dissolve gelatin in the hot water and using a funnel pour into the Jello egg mold first, then whatever gelatin doesn’t fit in the Jello eggs mold pour into the Jello beans mold.

Chill eggs for at least 3 hours, beans won’t take as long to set.

Carefully remove eggs and beans from their molds to serve.

  1. My family makes these for Easter every year! To lighten the dessert menu up a bit, we use sugar free Jello. We also add our own twist by making double-flavored eggs- pour the hot water gelatin mix into the egg molds and fill the egg halfway- then let harden in the refrigerator. Next, pour the hot gelatin of a different, complimentary flavor into the other half of the egg. Everyone loves to try the new flavors of the year, and its a no fat, low calorie hit with everyone from kids to grandparents!
