Aren’t they cute? Tyra’s hair was cuter when she left the house that morning. When I was in school, on picture day I remember there being someone right there on the scene that would run a comb through your hair and get it all fixed up right before the picture was taken (not hair styling, but touch ups) I guess they don’t do that anymore??? She’s cute anyways. 😛 And Ethan actually had a good smile, last year he kind of had a goofy smile. 🙂

Coming Spring 2011…

BABY # SIX!

Back in August I was awaiting my monthly cycle and when I felt like it was late I mentioned to Kyle that I was tempted to make a run to the store to get a test. Kyle looked me in the eyes and said “You are NOT pregnant”. I said “Fine but if I haven’t started by the time you get off work Monday will you get me a test?” He said he would, but he made me promise that I wouldn’t wake up in the middle of the night and take the test, he told me I had to wait until Tuesday morning. Fine!

So Monday still no cycle and Kyle got me a test and I woke up early Tuesday morning and took the test and it was POSITIVE! I went to wake Kyle up to tell him to take a shower and get ready for work, and then I said “And by the way, I took the test” and he said “And?” I said “It’s positive”. He sat up and had this look on his face like he was trying to figure out if he was still dreaming or if what I just said was reality. He was just SHOCKED.

Now I find that really funny because for the past few months before this we have been in a state of not trying to get pregnant, but we had also decided there was no reason to avoid a pregnancy either. I’m young, my body handles pregnancy and delivery very well. And financially we are doing better now than we’ve ever been at the time of conception. So either way having 5 kids was fine but there was no reason to be afraid of having another. He KNEW that we weren’t avoiding pregnancy so you’d think that he would have realized that that meant a pregnancy would be very likely, but he was still in complete shock. 😛

So now I’m 12 weeks along. Morning sickness is yucky, and I think it has hit harder this time than in past pregnancies. There have actually been a few days where I just could not get up to do anything, but had to get up to at least make sure the kids didn’t do anything dangerous. However I feel very lucky that even though I FEEL like throwing up, I never actually do throw up, so that is something to be happy about. And I’m getting to the point where morning sickness should be going away soon anyways, thankfully. My poor house (which was cluttered before getting pregnant) is just messy now because I haven’t been able to keep up with the daily messes. So when I say goodbye to morning sickness, I’ll be saying hello to getting the house back in order!

So excited to be having another baby. I have always enjoyed being pregnant. My due date is May 6th, so I’m hoping this one comes about 2 weeks early like the last 3 have, so that it will be born in April instead. 🙂
